The Amazon author dashboard people search for is almost always KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) or Author Central. It is not the AuthorShelf Portal. Mixing them is how proofs and royalties “disappear.”
Amazon author dashboard / KDP author login
- KDP dashboard / Bookshelf: kdp.amazon.com — Kindle files, KDP print, Amazon reports.
- Author Central: author.amazon.com — public Amazon author page and bio.
- AuthorShelf Author Portal: production for our packages — phases, eProofs, team messages, royalties after Title Live. Author Portal login.
Author dashboard vs author portal
On Amazon, “dashboard” means retailer tools. At AuthorShelf, the portal is the command center while the book is being made. After Title Live you still use KDP/Amazon for the store listing and our portal for royalty imports and title records.
