Effective: June 24, 2026
This Author Portal User Agreement (“Portal Agreement”) governs your use of the AuthorShelf Author Portal (“Portal”) after registration. It supplements the Website Terms of Use and works alongside the Services and Publishing Agreement for all purchased work.
1. Portal Access
Qualified authors receive Portal access to view projects, upload files, approve production stages, message the AuthorShelf team, and access royalty tools as described in your package. Access credentials are personal and non-transferable.
2. Acceptable Use
You will use the Portal only for lawful publishing purposes. You may not share login credentials, upload malware, harass staff, or submit unlawful or infringing materials.
3. Files, Messages & Approvals
Files and messages submitted through the Portal may be retained consistent with the Privacy Policy and Services Agreement for production, support, and legal compliance. Approvals recorded in the Portal constitute your authorization to proceed to the next production stage, subject to your Services Agreement.
4. Content Guidelines & Indemnity
You confirm that Portal submissions comply with our Content Guidelines (Exhibit B) and do not infringe third-party rights. You indemnify AuthorShelf against claims arising from Portal submissions, consistent with your Services Agreement, and this indemnity survives termination.
5. Electronic Records
Portal acknowledgments and checkbox acceptances are valid electronic signatures under the Electronic Signatures Agreement.
6. Suspension
We may suspend Portal access for security concerns, non-payment under the Services Agreement, or material breach of this Portal Agreement.
